2025 NOLPA Award: Award Well-Deserved – 2024 CCII MOFI, Chief Akika Felicitates Lagelu LG Chairman, Hon. Kamorudeen

Chief Benedict Akika, the 2024 recipient of the Most Outstanding Friend of Ibadanland award by the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), has extended warm congratulations to Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, on his latest national recognition.

Hon. Kamorudeen was recently honoured with the National Outstanding Leadership Performance Award (NOLPA) 2025 by the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS), a prestigious accolade which named him Outstanding Local Government Chairman in Nigeria. The award, presented at a grand event in Ibadan, applauds his outstanding contributions to grassroots development, infrastructure, security, and economic advancement in Lagelu LGA.

Chief Akika, a respected sociopolitical leader and advocate of community empowerment in Oyo State in a statement signed to his media advisory, Olusegun C A Taiwo OCAT described the award as “a well-deserved honour for a hardworking and people-driven administrator.”

In a congratulatory message, the OBF Founder praised the council boss, Hon. Kamorudeen’s alignment with the Omituntun Governance System championed by Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, adding that the chairman’s efforts “have brought meaningful change and development to the people of Lagelu and Oyo State by extension.”

“Leadership is about impact, and Hon. Kamorudeen has truly exemplified this,” Chief Akika remarked. “His transformative policies and dedication to inclusive governance have positioned Lagelu as a model for local government administration not only in Oyo State but across Nigeria.”
