As Oyo State marks the sixth anniversary of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration, prominent youth from Ibadan SouthWest Ward 12, Olabisi Habibat Afolabi, popularly known as OLABAT, has lauded the governor for his visionary and people-centered leadership.
OLABAT commended Governor Makinde for what she described as “a relentless commitment to the development of Oyo State across critical sectors.”
“Today marks six years of purposeful, progressive governance under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde,” she said. “From education to health, infrastructure to youth empowerment, the governor has demonstrated that leadership is about service and results.”
OLABAT who is also the state woman coordinator of The GSMists particularly praised Makinde’s efforts in youth inclusion and education reforms, citing the ongoing free education policy, investment in school infrastructure, and support for young entrepreneurs as key highlights of his tenure.
“I have seen firsthand how Governor Makinde has created opportunities for young people in Oyo State. His administration has provided not just policies, but real support that empowers the next generation of leaders,” she added.
She also noted that under Makinde’s leadership, Oyo State has seen unprecedented infrastructural growth, with road constructions and urban renewal projects enhancing connectivity and economic activity across the state.
OLABAT, who is well-regarded for her grassroots engagement and philanthropic activities, called on the people of Oyo State to continue supporting the governor’s vision for a greater Oyo.
“Leadership that listens, plans, and delivers deserves our full backing. As we celebrate this sixth anniversary, let us recommit ourselves to the progress of our state by supporting initiatives that uplift our communities,” she said.
