Hon. Oluwagbemileke Gbadamosi Nelson, popularly known as Hon. O’leke, the Leader of the Ibadan NorthWest Legislative House and Councillor representing Ward 9, has commended the exemplary leadership of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, for the successful and peaceful conduct of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Southwest Zonal Congress.
In a statement released after the just concluded elective congress in Ibadan, Hon. O’leke described Governor Makinde’s role in the process as “visionary, unifying, and truly democratic,” noting that the Governor’s leadership continues to set a high standard not only in Oyo State but across the region.
“I must commend Governor Seyi Makinde for once again proving himself as a stabilizing force and a beacon of progressive leadership within the PDP,” Hon. O’leke said. “His commitment to fairness, internal democracy, and party unity has not only strengthened our great party in the Southwest but has also deepened the trust of the people in our democratic institutions.”
Hon. O’leke also extended his heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected officers of the PDP Southwest Zone, urging them to justify the confidence reposed in them by party faithful and to work diligently in promoting the values and goals of the PDP.
“The newly elected officers have a huge task ahead, and I believe they have the capacity to deliver. I wish them success in their responsibilities and pray for greater unity and progress within the party,” he added.
Hon. O’leke reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the PDP’s growth at the grassroots level, promising to continue working in alignment with the vision of Governor Makinde and Hon Rahman Adepoju to ensure that Ibadan NorthWest remains a stronghold of the party.
