The Woman Leader of Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo Worldwide, Oyo State Chapter, Evangelist Ijeoma Uchendu, has commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his gender-inclusive policies, describing him as a leader committed to women’s empowerment.

Speaking during her inaugural address at Adamasingba Stadium, Ibadan, Evang. Uchendu highlighted the Governor’s track record in appointing women to key government positions, including commissioners, board chairpersons, and other strategic roles, regardless of their tribe, ethnicity, or religion. She assured him of the full support of Ohanaeze Women for his administration.

She further praised Governor Makinde’s inclusive governance, which, she noted, has significantly transformed Oyo State, particularly in the hinterlands, through extensive road construction and other infrastructural developments that have boosted businesses.

Additionally, Evang. Uchendu applauded the appointment of Hon. Tallest Innocent as Senior Special Assistant on Community Affairs (Igbo Community), describing it as a well-calculated decision that has fostered peaceful coexistence among different ethnic groups in the state.

In her closing remarks, she expressed gratitude to God and acknowledged Hon. Tallest Innocent’s role in uniting the Igbo community with other ethnic groups. She also appreciated everyone who contributed to the success of the event and assured her fellow executives of her commitment to advancing the interests of the Igbo community in Oyo State.
