LEGISLATIVE DRIVE AND EDUCATIONAL ADVANCEMENT: HON. KAREEM TAJUDEEN ABISODUN MAKES STRIDES IN TECHNOLOGY AND ACADEMIC DEVELOPMENT

Hon. Kareem Tajudeen Abisodun, the distinguished member Representing Saki West, Saki East, and Atisbo Federal Constituency, continues to set the pace in legislative excellence and educational empowerment. His recent initiatives, which include the successful progression of a bill promoting Information Technology education and infrastructure, as well as the distribution of 5,000 past questions to students preparing for JAMB and WAEC, highlight his unwavering commitment to the future of his constituency and Nigeria at large.

In a major legislative milestone, Hon. Kareem Tajudeen Abisodun’s bill HB.1360—titled “A Bill to Promote Information Technology Education, Entrepreneurship, and Infrastructure Development Across Nigeria’s Six Geopolitical Zones”, successfully passed its second reading on the floor of the House of Representatives.

The bill, which was deliberated upon under the leadership of the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abass, aims to bridge the digital divide by equipping young Nigerians with the necessary skills to thrive in the modern world. A key highlight of the bill is the designation of Atisbo as the Southwest hub for digital education and entrepreneurship, a move that is expected to drive innovation and economic growth in the region.

Hon. Abisodun emphasized that education and technology are the twin pillars of development, and this bill represents a bold step toward a smarter, tech-driven Nigeria. “We cannot afford to lag behind in the digital revolution. This bill is a commitment to ensuring that our youth are globally competitive,” he stated.

In addition to his strides in legislative work, Hon. Abisodun has further demonstrated his dedication to education through the distribution of 5,000 specially compiled past questions for JAMB and WAEC. This initiative, which covers 10 years of examination questions, is aimed at enhancing students’ preparedness and increasing their chances of gaining admission into higher institutions.

Benefiting students across all public secondary schools in Saki West, Saki East, and Atisbo, the initiative seeks to bridge the academic preparation gap and boost performance in external examinations. Hon. Abisodun described this gesture as an investment in the future of the constituency.

“This is not just about distributing books; it is about giving our students the confidence to compete, excel, and break barriers in their academic pursuits,” he remarked.

Through these initiatives, Hon. Kareem Tajudeen Abisodun is proving that true representation goes beyond politics—it is about impact, development, and the betterment of lives. With his commitment to education, technology, and youth empowerment, he remains a beacon of progressive leadership in Oyo State and beyond.

As the nation looks forward to the final passage of his IT education bill and as thousands of students benefit from his educational support programs, one thing is clear Hon. Abisodun is not just making promises; he is delivering results.
