In a major legislative milestone, Hon. Kareem Tajudeen Abisodun’s bill HB.1360—titled “A Bill to Promote Information Technology Education, Entrepreneurship, and Infrastructure Development Across Nigeria’s Six Geopolitical Zones”, successfully passed its second reading on the floor of the House of Representatives.
The bill, which was deliberated upon under the leadership of the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abass, aims to bridge the digital divide by equipping young Nigerians with the necessary skills to thrive in the modern world. A key highlight of the bill is the designation of Atisbo as the Southwest hub for digital education and entrepreneurship, a move that is expected to drive innovation and economic growth in the region.
Hon. Benefiting students across all public secondary schools in Saki West, Saki East, and Atisbo, the initiative seeks to bridge the academic preparation gap and boost performance in external examinations. Hon. Abisodun described this gesture as an investment in the future of the constituency.
