In a significant move to enhance transportation services in Oyo State, Pacesetter Transport Services (PTS) has officially launched a new inter-state route connecting Ibadan (TCTC Eleyele) to Abuja (Area 1, Gwagwalada Motor Park). Under the leadership of Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde, the new service will operate daily, with departures scheduled for 7:00 am.

This expansion follows the successful introduction of inter-state services to Lagos on December 15, 2024, a milestone event inaugurated by Oyo State’s First Lady, Engr. Tamunominini Makinde. Alongside the Lagos route, the government also unveiled PTS Logistics, a service covering Oyo, Lagos, and Abuja.

Currently, the Lagos route operates from TCTC Eleyele to Ojota and Ikeja Terminals, offering multiple daily departures at 7:00 am, 10:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 4:00 pm.

Speaking on the expansion, Hon. Dr. Dikko Salami, Chairman and Sole Administrator of PTS, expressed gratitude to Governor Makinde for his continued investment in the transport sector, which has enabled the company to serve over 50,000 passengers daily across intra-city, inter-city, and inter-state routes.

Dr. Salami also acknowledged the dedication of PTS board members, directors, managers, and staff, whose collective efforts continue to drive the company’s growth. He hinted at further expansion plans, with another major addition to PTS services expected by April or May 2025.

With this latest development, PTS reinforces its commitment to providing safe, efficient, and reliable transportation, solidifying Oyo State’s position as a leader in modern public transport infrastructure.
