Council Boss, Adepoju Seeks for Effective Collaboration with Corporate Organizations

The Executive Chairman of Ibadan Northwest Local Government, Alh Rahman Olanrewaju Adepoju has sought for harmonious  working  relationship between the  Local Government and  all corporate organizations  within the  Council area.

The Chairman  made the  assertions  at the interactive meeting  held with representatives  of corporate  organizations operating  within Ibadan Northwest Local Government, Onireke.

According  to the Chairman,  the meeting  was to familiarize  with the  organizations  and also brainstorm  on how the Local Government can collaborate with  them  in giving  the best to the society. He maintained  that  he is aware that each organization  has its yearly  budget  for Corporate   social responsibilities (CSR) as a way of giving  back to the society but the right  steps must be taken for positive  responses.

The  Council  Chairman  appreciated  various  organizations  present  at the meeting for their corporate  social  responsibilities done so far in various  sectors but reiterated  that  the  missions  and goals  for any CSR can be effectively  achieved  if  the concerned  company  routed  them through the  appropriate  channels. He said, “the local  government, being the nearest  to the grassroot people knows their immediate needs, hence any assistance  to them from  corporate organizations  must be channelled  through  the local government   for perfect  delivery. I want  to charge  all corporate organizations  within  Ibadan Northwest  council  area to collaborate  with the local government on any community project  they want to embark on for fruitful  outcome”.

Earlier in her welcome address, the Head of Local Government Administration, Mrs Rachael Olabode  appreciated  the presence  of the organizations  and assured that the local government  is looking  forward  to having a cordial  relationship with  them.She affirmed  that as the Local government has  its responsibilities  to perform on the citizenry so also corporate organizations  have their civic  duties  to the government.  She charged  them to pay all  necessary  levies as at when  due for the upliftment of the Local Government and the state in general.

In their  separate remarks, representatives  from each organization  appreciated the  management  of the council  for organising the interactive meeting  and promised that the needful  will be done to form a perfect  synergy between the Local Government and  corporate organizations within the  Council area.

The  interactive meeting which was held at the Council secretariat Onireke had in attendance  the  Secretary of the Local Government,Mrs Sarah Shobowale, Chief of staff, Hon Kazeem Fantola, Head of Local Government Administration Mrs Rachael Olabode, Heads of Departments , Units Heads and representatives of various corporate organizations  within  Ibadan Northwest Local Government.
