Hon. Popoola Olawale James, the Councillor representing Ward 2 of Ibadan North West Local Government, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his campaign committees and the community members of Ward 2 on Sunday following his successful re-election.
In a gesture of appreciation, he empowered his campaign committees with cash gifts and provided the community with solar-powered street lights.
The event was attended by prominent figures including the party chairman, Alh. Lukman Adesina; Hon. Kazeem Fantola, Chief of Staff to the Local Government Chairman; the Chairman of PDP Ward 11, Hon. Samson from Ward 7; Hon. Sina Ojerinde from Ward 2, among others .
Hon. James acknowledged the support and guidance he received from key leaders, including Dr Aderemi Ayodele; Former Chairman, Oyo State Civil Service Commission, Alhaji Soliu Ishola Labule: Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Federal Constituency, the Executive Chairman, Alhaji Rahman Adepoju,, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, Secretary of the PDP in Oyo State and Stakeholders of the the local government. He specifically thanked them for their valuable advice and support.
The Councillor emphasized his commitment to serving the people of Ward 2 and promised to continue working towards the development of the community while stating empowerments embarked on so far:
• 50 pieces of machine empowerment for the members and communities worth 1.5milion naira
• Solar light across the community zones
• Renovation of drainage of Asukuna Community
• Joint monthly empowerment for the party members and individuals
• Facilitated project from local government
• Solar light from Ibikunle to Bere Junction
• Upgrading our health centre at Origbegi
• Renovation of borehole at ldi Ogun and Adofon
• Installation of transformer at A tie Asukuna Community
• Provision of electric pole and installation at Abiunworo Community
• Casting of long step at Elebu/Akinlagun Communities
• Pedestrian Bridges across the community
