The Executive Chairman of Ibadan Northwest Local Government, Alhaji Rahman Olanrewaju Adepoju has extended his warmest felicitations to the residents of Ibadan Northwest Local Government, Oyo state and Nigeria as a whole as the world welcomes a new year.
In his new year message,the Chairman congratulated every one for the privilege to witness the new year in spite of many anomalies witnessed in 2024. He added that various unforeseen events came up last year which hindered the socio-economic growth of the state and the country, yet as an individual who escaped through, it is indeed worthy of appreciation to Almighty God. He enjoined all and sundry to be God fearing, self disciplined and more focused in realising a fulfilling and prosperous year 2025. He said “many people wished and planned to see the new year but not all have the opportunities to be alive hence the need for those alive to appreciate God for the uncommon favor to witness the year 2025”
The Council Boss expressed his profound gratitude to the residents for their unwavering support and cooperation throughout the outgoing year. He reiterated that his
administration’s commitment to delivering on its promises and working tirelessly to improve the lives of the residents will be fulfilled. He affirmed that he and his working cabinet would continue to prioritize initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of life, fostering sustainable development, and promoting educational opportunities within the local government area.
Alh Adepoju added that the present Administration in Oyo state under the leadership of His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde will never relent in putting smiles on the faces of the citizenry in the new year and beyond. He however, implored every one especially Civil servants in the state to make a resolution of contributing positively to the growth of the Council and the state in general through their effective commitment to their schedule of duties. Stressing that the era of truancy, laziness and immoral behaviours among Oyo state Civil servants are bygone. He charged all to be more prayerful, focused and determined in life in achieving a fulfilled New year resolution.
The Executive Chairman further rejoiced with his Excellency Engr Oluwaseyi Makinde and family on the new year celebrations noting that his exemplary leadership traits are worth emulating. He prayed to God to grant him a resounding health and wisdom to pilot the affairs of the state to an enviable heights.
The Council Boss also wishes all his working cabinet, party Stakeholders, Political functionaries, members of Traditional Council, management, staff and good people of Ibadan North-West Local Government and Oyo state as a whole a happy, peaceful and prosperous year 2025.
