The Oyo State PDP Patriotic Women, led by Comrade Chief (Mrs.) Shittu Modupe Omotayo Oluyombo, fondly known as Yommy Dee Destiny, have commended the Oyo State Government for its thoughtful and impactful festive season package. The group praised Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration for its consistent efforts to prioritize the welfare of citizens, especially women and vulnerable groups.
Through the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, the government rolled out an extensive festive season package that included rice, chicken, clothes, and other essential gifts. The initiative, which reflects the administration’s dedication to social inclusion and equity, was spearheaded by Honourable Commissioner Hon. (Mrs.) Oluwatoyin Balogun.
Speaking to Press, Chief Shittu expressed her gratitude for the government’s commitment to uplifting women and families during the festive period. “This initiative demonstrates the people-centered leadership of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, who continues to ensure that the most vulnerable in our society are not left behind. The thoughtful provision of food items and other gifts brings smiles to countless families, especially at a time when many are struggling to make ends meet,” she said.
The festive package, distributed to women communities and groups across the state, aims to ensure that women, children, and disadvantaged groups can celebrate the season with joy and dignity.
