The Oyo-Dotun Progressives Forum, a leading support group for the gubernatorial ambitions of Engr. Jubril Dotun Sanusi, Chairman of Ilaji Farms, Hotels, and Sports Resorts, recently hosted an interfaith program for coordinators and representatives across all 33 local governments in Oyo State.
The event, held on December 7 in Ibadan, brought together Christian and Muslim leaders for joint prayers, seeking peace for Oyo State and Nigeria, as well as good health and strength for Engr. Sanusi as he pursues his aspiration to become the Executive Governor of Oyo State in 2027.
Amid speculation surrounding his political future, Engr. Sanusi, who is also the Jagunmolu Olubadan of Ibadanland, used the occasion to clarify his intentions. He confirmed that he is indeed running for governor in 2027, emphasizing that his ambition has the full support of his family and the divine backing of Almighty God.
Represented by Hon. Kazeem Gbadamosi at the event, Engr. Sanusi assured his supporters of his unwavering commitment to the cause. Gbadamosi also highlighted key upcoming milestones in Sanusi’s journey, including his installation as Bobagunwa of Ayete Land and Asiwaju of Ibarapa Land, in addition to his ongoing empowerment programs aimed at uplifting the people of Oyo State.
The conveners of the event expressed their appreciation for Engr. Sanusi’s continued dedication and support, praying for the fulfillment of his aspirations and for the success of his efforts in serving the state.
They also urged all coordinators and representatives to increase their efforts as the political landscape continues to take shape, stressing the importance of staying engaged and providing feedback for future developments.
