We are pleased to share that the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development recently hosted a significant event, welcoming key stakeholders and discussing the progress and future plans for our youth initiatives.
Prince Falana Adebowale Adebayo, Chairman of the Agency, delivered a comprehensive account of his stewardship since assuming office on May 20, 2024. He expressed gratitude to Hon. Yusuf Adebisi, Chairman of the House Committee on Youth, and Mrs. Titilayo Gbadamosi, Special Assistant to the President on Youth Initiatives, Monitoring, and Delivery, for their unwavering support.
Prince Adebayo also acknowledged Senior Special Assistant to the Governor Hon. Victor Olojede and the Senior Special Assistant on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Mrs. Agberemi Dabo RAD, The Oyo State Youth Leader and The Acting Publicity Secretary of The Party, Hon. Micheal Ogunsina for their invaluable contributions. He particularly thanked Executive Secretary Mrs. Muraina for her motherly advice and guidance, which has been instrumental in his early successes.
Hon. Yusuf Adebisi praised the chairman’s dedication to the state’s youth and appreciated the presence of Mrs. Titilayo Gbadamosi. Mrs. Gbadamosi commended Governor Seyi Makinde for appointing young minds to key positions and outlined her commitment to ensuring prompt service delivery to the youth.
She emphasized the strength of youth as a critical demographic and discussed her A-C plan, focusing on the Nigerian Youth Academy and the importance of certification recognized by organizations. Gbadamosi highlighted various federal government schemes covering youth initiatives, including Policy and Advocacy, Empowerment, Capacity Building, and Interventions.
She urged the agency to devise plans that encourage constructive youth engagement with the government and stressed the importance of acting as the National Orientation Agency of the state. Gbadamosi reiterated her commitment to empowering the youth for impactful national development and pledged ongoing support for our initiatives.
