IBADAN NORTHWEST HOUSE LEADER, O’LEKE FELICITATES THE 43RD OLUBADAN, OBA OLAKULEHIN

The Leader of the Ibadan NorthWest legislative house, Honorable Oluwagbemileke Gbadamosi Nelson O’leke, has felicitated the new Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Akinloye Olakulehin, Ige Olakulehin I on his official coronation and staff of office presentation.

Hon. Oluwagbemileke described the coronation of Oba Olakulehin as a “historic and joyous occasion” for the people of Ibadan and Oyo State and occupancy of the new king into a new palace.

He praised the new monarch for his wisdom, leadership, and dedication to the development of Ibadanland, saying, “Your ascension to the throne is a testament to your integrity and commitment to the progress of our great city.”

Hon. O’leke also commended the Olubadan-in-Council and the governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde for their roles in ensuring a smooth transition and for upholding the rich cultural heritage of Ibadan.

He prayed for Oba Olakulehin’s reign to be long and peaceful, and for his wisdom and guidance to continue to inspire the people of Ibadanland.

The coronation ceremony, which took place at the historic Mapo in Ibadan, was attended by dignitaries from across the state and beyond.

Oba Owolabi Akinloye Olakulehin Ige Olakulehin I succeeded the late Oba Mahood Balogun Alli Okunmade II.
