An Ibadan based political group, Isokan Ipinle Oyo has commended the governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde on his approval of coronation and presentation of staff of office to the new olubadan of Ibadanland Oba Owolabi Olakunlehin.
Isokan Ipinle in a release signed by his Convener, Dr Laolu Adepoju in a release on Saturday praised Governor Makinde for living up to his promises of following tradition and culture in accordance with the law of the land.
The group explained that Governor Seyi Makinde has once again rekindled hope in due process in line with the traditional institution.
Isokan Ipinle described Governor Makinde as God given leader of this generation and it’s important for all the people of the state to rally round and support their Governor.
“Let me take this opportunity to thank you sir, Your Excellency, for being a wonderful leader in this our generation. We can not thank you enough for all you had done for our state at this time.
“On behalf of all members of our group, I congratulate our Governor, the new Olubadan of Ibadanland, all sons and daughters of Ibadanland, friends of Ibadan as well as residents of Ibadanland.”
It would be recalled that the state government said the coronation ceremony is scheduled to hold on Friday, July 12, 2024.
