It was jubilation galore as friends and well wishers gathered at the Council Secretariat to rejoice with Ibadan North West Local Government political functionaries on the successful completion of their tenure of office . The Valedictory service which was organized in honor of all political functionaries in Ibadan North West Local Government was held at the Co-operative Hall of the Council Secretariat, Onireke, today Wednesday May 22,2024
In his remarks, The Executive Chairman of Ibadan Northwest Local Government Alh AbdulRahman Olanrewaju Adepoju Congratulated all the political functionaries and appreciated them for their unflinching supports for him throughout their tenure in office. He admitted that their initiatives and creativity at all sectors have made the Council to stand out among its counterparts in the state.
Alh Adepoju enjoined all the outgoing councillors, supervisory Councillors and Special Advisers not to relent in their excessive contributions to the Council activities rather they should come up with more ideas to support him in realising his visions for Ibadan Northwest Local Government.
He said ‘the expiration of your tenure of office does not restrict you from participating in the political activities that can bring development to the Local Government. Your creativity and initiatives are still needed in the local government’.
In their separate goodwill messages, the Political Head of Okebadan North LCDA, Alh Ganiy Abiodun Omotosho, the PDP State Secretary,Alh Wasiu Adeleke and Alh Laide Lanihun Commended all the Political functionaries for their humility, commitment and steadfastness to their schedules of duties. They eulogised them for their selfless services to the party and assured them of greater rewards for their good deeds.
While responding on behalf of all the political functionaries, the leader of the house, Hon Kazeem Arowodana appreciated the open door policy of the Executive chairman which gave him and his colleagues to operate on a level playing field. He assured the Council Boss that their loyalty to him and the party remains firm as ever.
However, the leader of the house enjoined the incoming Councillors to work as a team so as to fulfill their desired goals.
Earlier in her welcome address, the Head of the Local Government Administration Mrs Olaronke Ige rejoiced with the Councillors and other political functionaries stressing that their working relationship with the career officers had been very impressive. She prayed to God to move them to a greater height in their political careers.
Gifts were later presented to all the outgoing councillors and other political functionaries as a mark of appreciation for their selfless services to the Local Government.
Present at the valedictory service were PDP stalwarts from state and Local Government, Acting Head of Local Government Administration of Okebadan North LCDA, Alh Mujidat Ojewumi, management and staff of Ibadan Northwest Local Government and Okebadan North LCDA.
