The Re-elected Executive Chairman of Ibadan Northwest Local Government in the just concluded Local Government election in Oyo state, Alhaji AbdulRahman Olanrewaju Adepoju has expressed his heart felt gratitude to all the people and residents of Ibadan Northwest Local Government for trooping out
en mass to
re-elect him as their Executive Chairman for second term in office.
According to Alhaji Adepoju, he had never taken their trust for granted rather he held them in a high esteem, with a pledge to improve more in his humanitarian supports for the development of the council.
The Chairman claimed that his victory in the just concluded election was not only for him but the entire PDP family and people of Ibadan North-West Local Government.
Alh Adepoju thanked Almighty God for the breath of life till date. He appreciated His Excellency Engr Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde for the opportunities given to him to continue his service in his administration. He promised not to relent in complementing his Excellency’s efforts in the ongoing transformation in the state to sustain its known slogan, the pace setter state.
The Chairman further acknowledged the supports he got from party leaders starting from the PDP State Executives, Local Government party Executives, Ward Executives, women leaders, Youths, Artisans,Traders religious bodies, PDP faithfuls and residents across the Council for their remarkable supports. He promised further commitment towards the growth of the local government.
In addition, Alh Adepoju thanked the management and staff of the Local Government for their supportive attitudes throughout his first term in office. He urged them to keep the flag flying in their schedules of duties with the assurance that his coming administration will provide a more conducive working environment for effective productivity.
In the meantime, the relected Chairman has extended a warmth relationship to his counterparts in the opposition parties to work with him for the growth of the Council. He stressed that politics should never be seen as a do or die affair rather an avenue to work as a team in bringing development to the society regardless of party differences.
He maintained that his first term in office was a starting point for developmental projects in Ibadan Northwest Local Government, the second term will be for extension of dividends of democracy to all the nooks and crannies of the Local Government.
Alh AbdulRahman Olanrewaju Adepoju on behalf of his Vice chairman, Alh Ganiy Abiodun Omotosho and all elected Councillors appreciated the unflinching supports of all and sundry in Ibadan Northwest Local Government. Stressing that his second term in office will be an era of new dawn in Ibadan Northwest Local Government.
Alh AbdulRahman Olanrewaju Adepoju was the PDP Chairmanship candidate for Ibadan Northwest Local Government in the just concluded Local Government election organised by Oyo state Independent electoral commission and won with a total votes of
21,810, to defeat his counterparts from other political parties.
