Hon Abayomi Fagbenro-Bibire today lead members of the Bibire Peoples Vision Association and numerous supporters of the PDP from Ibadan Southwest and Northwest local governments to the venue of the mega campaign rally which marks the culmination of the party’s campaign activities in preparation for Saturday’s LG elections.
Recall that the local government elections will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2024.
Hon. Bibire sighted at the rally as an applaudable intention to support the party’s chairmanship and councillorship candidates in Ibadan Northwest and Southwest, two crucial areas of the pacesetter state.
Furthermore, Bibire noted that the rally would further solidify the support of the masses who believe in the principles of good governance, which the PDP represents.
Early in the day he stated
“I, alongside members of the Bibire Peoples Vision Association will be attending the campaign rally today to demonstrate and reiterate our undying love and support for all the party’s candidates as it has always been our avowed commitment to promote the progress of the party at all levels.
Thus, he implored the residents of both local governments; Ibadan Southwest and Northwest and our great party members to turn out in large numbers to offer crucial support to the candidates as this very exercise holds significance not only for the candidates, but for all and sundry.
“The local government is the closest tier of government to the people which services as the foundation for driving development initiatives for the community.
“I believe strongly that for a country to progress effectively, it really has to rely heavily on the functionality of the local government, as all aspects of development are centralized within it.
“Hence, our presence here today is to throw our weight and essential backing behind our candidates for the upcoming local government election in Ibadan Northwest. And this very exercise, I must say, represents one of the channels through which I am perpetuating my support to them in every possible way.” he stated.
