
As Muslims begin the month-long fasting period, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Local Governments and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Ramata Agberemi Dabo(RAD) has called on Muslims to pray for the peace, unity, and development of Oyo State to enhance the social and economic well-being of the people which the administration of GSM has being promoting since 2019 during Omituntun 1.0.
Hon. Ramata who described Ramadan as period of recompense, piety and separation from sins, said Muslims must be ready to sacrifice and pray to Almighty Allah who make Ramadan a blessing for them.
She added that the holy month of Ramadan is an avenue for every Muslims to reflect on the past, with a view to seeking forgiveness from Allah.
She admonished Muslims to manifest the spirit of love, oneness, charity, reflection, obedience and other tenets of Islam during and after the Ramadan
She noted that “the last 10 days of Ramadan should be dedicated to moving closer to Almighty Allah. We all have to pray for the progress and economy recovery of the nation.” Hon. RAD added
