Economic Hardship: Ibadan NorthWest Legislature Appeal to Gov Makinde

Concerning the economic hardship in the country, the Legislative House of Ibadan NorthWest Local Government headed by Hon Muili Kazeem Arowodana has appealed to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State most especially the issues of Adhoc Staffs.

At the plenary sitting on Thursday, February 15, the motion was raised by Hon Adeleke Adetona of Ward 4, concerning the adhoc staff working Ibadan NorthWest local government area and Okebadan local community development area.

Mr Oyediran Abdulsalam speaking on the behalf of the adhoc on the floor of the House, stated the issues as controversial increment of allowance and permanent appointment, also long serving colleagues who are not sure of future sojourn in the service.



In the same vein, Mrs Oluwatoyin Jimoh, an adhoc staff attached to the National Population Council of the local government seeks the usual kindness and goodwill of the state governor as her state of being is very affected.

“I am a graduate and I have been an adhoc of staff for over 16 years, the amount which I received has been an embarrassment to me as the economy of the country gets somehow
I begged the governor, Governor Seyi Makinde who is a kind and nice leader always and usual”, she stated.



The lawmakers equally prayed the state governor, Engr Seyi Makinde to kindly see to increment of the allowance of the staff.

The House called for quick intervention of the stakeholders in administration of the state government on the regularizsation of the adhoc staff across the state with all criteria as stated in the Oyo State Civil Service.

“Concerning the economic hardship in the country and the staff’s importance to the smooth running of the local government and extensively the state, the state government should kindly look into the matter”, the house noted.

The House appreciate Governor Seyi Makinde on the SAfER palliative to the people of Oyo State while imploring for the same gesture to the local government level.

They also extend gratitude to the leadership of Ibadan NorthWest Local Government under the chairmanship of Hon AbdulRahman Olanrewaju Adepoju for usual support to the success of the House.



The leader house, Hon Muili Kazeem Arowodana who is also the chairman of Forum for Councillors in Oyo State charged the staff to be diligent with their official duties and get required documents as these are justifications to their courses.
