As the year comes to a close, Prince Deji Ola brought together volunteers and strategic content creators in Oyo State for a marathon discussion. The meeting served as a review of the accomplishments in 2024 and a platform to set targets and benchmarks for the upcoming year.
Ola expressed his gratitude to the volunteers for their active roles in driving the development of Oyo State. He highlighted the numerous milestones achieved in 2024, acknowledging the efforts of the Oyo State Government, led by Governor Seyi Makinde, in creating an enabling environment for the people to thrive.
The governor’s initiatives have not only renewed the people’s hope and enthusiasm in the government but have also provided countless opportunities for volunteers as seen in the ongoing recruitment in the state.
He urged content creators to continue creating positive narratives that promote peace, harmony, and development in Oyo State. He further emphasized the significance of positive content in the media space, as many people rely on social media for their well-being.
“Storytelling is a powerful strategy to promote positive narratives about the government and other institutions, We will effectively utilize this approach in the coming year.” Ola asserted.
He also encouraged volunteers to remain proactive in seeking opportunities, as Governor Seyi Makinde’s developmental programs have attracted investors to the state, which is another low hanging fruit for seekers. Emphasis was placed on the importance of leveraging these opportunities for individual growth.
In alignment with the volunteers’ suggestions, Prince Deji Ola stressed the need for quarterly capacity building and human capacity development to enhance productivity. This collaborative approach will undoubtedly propel Oyo State toward a brighter future in 2025.
