The need to take the Compressed Natural Gas CNG refill stations to the nooks and crannies of Nigeria has been emphasised.
This was the crux at the official launch of CNG mobile refill units of Portland Gas Limited at Ojota area of Lagos State.
Portland Gas CEO and Founder, Folajimi Lai-Mohammed emphasized the move to establish CNG mobile stations across Nigeria to eliminate reliance on pipeline gas.
He appealed to the federal government for accessible funding and greater support to encourage further development in the sector.
The event was graced by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who.was represented by the Managing Director of LAMATA, Abimbola Akinajo, CEO of Ministry of Finance Incorporated, Armstrong Takang, CEO of PiCNG, Michael Oluwagbemi, National President of NARTO, Yusuf Othman, Director General of NADDC, Oluwemimo Osanipin, Managing Director of Nigeria Railway Corporation, Kayode Opeifa, among others who collectively commended Portaland Gas Limited for the bold initiative.
Portland Gas Nigeria Limited started the project on CNG about four years ago before the presidential initiative on Compressed Natural Gas was formally launched.
