Staff of the Oyo State Governor’s Digital Media Unit, alongside online publishers, organized a surprise birthday reception on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, for the Special Assistant to the State Governor on Digital Media, Fisayo Segun Daramola. The celebration took place at Room 82 of the Oyo State Ministry of Education.
The event, led by the Unit’s social media handler Onyekachi Amara, featured a chorus of solidarity songs and heartfelt birthday wishes as Fisayo entered the room. He was warmly greeted by his colleagues and guests, who presented him with beautiful birthday cards, a cake, and life-sized portraits of himself.
Akindele Alabi, one of the staff members of the Digital Media Unit, expressed his gratitude to God for Fisayo’s life, health, and prosperity. He highlighted that the surprise party was organized by the Unit’s staff and some online publishers to show their appreciation and love for Fisayo’s dedication and hard work.
Visibly surprised and touched by the gesture, Fisayo Daramola thanked everyone for the thoughtful celebration and for their ongoing support. He assured them that their efforts were deeply appreciated and that he would continue to work tirelessly to support the team and the state.
The celebration was lively, featuring performances by a talking drum, saxophone renditions, and birthday songs sung by the staff and guests. The event was attended by notable personalities, including former state assembly lawmaker Mogaji Olamide Akinajo, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media Olamide Olorundare, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Student Affairs Victor Olojede, and Chairman of the Oyo State Youth Agency, Prince Adebowale Falana.
