SPEECH DELIVERED BY HON. ADEDEJI DHIKRULLAHI OLAJIDE AT THE OFFICIAL HANDING OVER OF DIGITAL ICT HUB TO OYO STATE GOVERNMENT.
It is with great pleasure and a sense of fulfillment that I, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide, stand before you today to officially hand over this state-of-the-art Digital ICT Hub to the Oyo State Government.
This project, which has been a dream of mine for many years, is a testament to the power of determination, hard work and collaboration.
As a representative of the good people of Oyo State, I recognized the need to bridge the digital divide and provide our youth with the skills and resources necessary to thrive in today’s technology-driven world.
This Digital ICT Hub is more than just a building or a collection of computers and software.
It is a symbol of our commitment to the future of our children and a catalyst for economic growth and development.
With this hub, our young people will have access to cutting-edge technology, training programmes and mentorship opportunities that will equip them with the skills they need to compete in the global digital economy.
They will be able to learn coding, web development, digital marketing and other in-demand skills that will make them employable and empower them to create their own jobs.
But this hub is not just for the young people.
It is for the benefit of our entire community.
It will provide a platform for entrepreneurs, small business owners and innovators to connect, collaborate and access new markets and opportunities.
I want to express my gratitude to NITDA and the Oyo State Government for their support and partnership in this project.
I also want to thank the contractors, engineers and technicians who worked tirelessly to bring this vision to life.
As I hand over this Digital ICT Hub to the Oyo State Government, I charge them to ensure that it is well maintained, fully utilized and made accessible to all who need it.
I also call on the private sector, civil society organizations and individuals to support and partner with the government to maximize the impact of this hub.
In conclusion, I say to the people of Oyo State, this is our own little contribution to the development of our dear state.
Let us all come together to make the most of this opportunity and create a brighter future for ourselves and generations to come.
