The Executive Committee members of the LAGELU and District Society of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), has paid a strategic visit to Baker Tilly Nigeria, a leading accounting and advisory firm.
Led by their Pioneer Chairman, Chief Mrs. Omokemi Oladipo, FCA, on Friday, February 28, 2025, the visit aimed to foster collaboration between the firm, its staff, and the District Society.
The discussions at the meeting centered on strengthening professional development, mentorship programs, and industry best practices.
Chief Mrs. Oladipo, in her remarks, disclosed that the visit was part of the society’s ongoing strategic collaborations and partnership within the state and beyond.
She assured that the society, having engaged financial stakeholders and its members on capacity building programs as well as charity support to vulnerable people through donations, and various sensitization and awareness campaign.
Earlier, while elcoming the delegation, Mr. Oluwole Olatunde Ogundeji, FCA, Senior Partner at Baker Tilly Nigeria, expressed his delight at the visit.
He emphasized the firm’s longstanding commitment to supporting the accounting profession, a tradition he assured would continue under his leadership.
Both parties however, expressed enthusiasm for future collaborations that would further enhance the accounting profession in Nigeria.
The meeting also had in attendance key partners from Baker Tilly Nigeria, including Mr. Marcus Akobi, FCA; Mr. Patterson Ariemuiduigho, FCA; Mr. Mark Odang, FCA; Mrs. Oyeyemi Aremu, FCA; and Mr. Olalekan Ayoade, FCA.
