The founder and president of Beulah Adeoye Foundation, Amofin Beulah Adeoye on Saturday addressed over 6,000 young minds and innovators at the 2024 Ibadan Tech Expo. The forensic and financial expert who was the keynote speaker at the event shared his insights on ‘’Empowering the Digital Future’’ at the expansive International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, venue of the event.
Amofin Adeoye in his valuable insights urged participants to see technology as catalyst for positive change that will drive the growth of various sectors of the economy. Amofin Adeoye stressed that the tech ecosystem is not about creating a new App or Website but it is about developing sustainable business models that will drive economic growth and enhance lives.
The legal icon said that apart from embracing digital age, participants must see technology beyond tool that can be used to harness tech innovations. He highlighted the transformative power of technology and its critical role in combating issues like poverty, insecurity, unemployment among others.
Amofin Adeoye stressed the importance of expanding digital infrastructure in Oyo State through partnership with telecom companies and private investors. Amofin Adeoye proposed installation of free WiFi hotspots in schools, public parks and market places to provide youths and tech enthusiasts’ consistent access to the digital world and encourage development.
The convener of the event, Balogun Danjuma in his opening speech, welcome all attendees who came from different parts of the country. He advised them to network, leverage on the submission of panel sessions to advance their tech businesses. Amofin Beulah Adeoye commended the organizer of the event for impactful initiative aimed at expanding frontier of tech and limitless opportunities for youth minds.
Through Beulah Adeoye Foundation, Amofin Adeoye supported Ibadan Tech Expo 2024 with 10 brand new HP laptops, gave cash prizes to 100 beneficiaries, and distributing 500 free tickets to attendees. The foundation also gave out 1,000 souvenir packages, which included shirts, notebooks, water flasks, biros, and other essentials—all aimed at inspiring young minds as they explore digital opportunities.
