The present Administration under the leadership of His Excellency,Engr Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde is not out to witch-hunt any market traders or business Entrepreneurs rather it is committed in providing a conducive business environment for all and sundry.
The Executive Chairman of Ibadan Northwest Local Government, Alh AbdulRahman Olanrewaju Adepoju made the assertions during a meeting with representatives of Eleyele small scale Industry, Temidire market, held at the Conference Hall of the Council Secretariat, Onireke, Ibadan.
According to the Executive Chairman, the meeting was organized to brainstorm on how the entrepreneurs could collaborate with the management of the Local Government for the growth of the Council.
The Chairman, affirmed that his recent visit to Temidire market at Eleyele accorded him the opportunity to know more on the needs of the entrepreneurs hence the need for the two parties to work in unity for the growth of the market, Council and the state in general.
Alh Adepoju reiterated that the small and medium scale entrepreneurs contributed immensely to the economic growth of the country hence the need to give them maximum supports in their chosen careers.
The Council Boss maintained that as the government is saddled with the responsibility of providing and maintaining a conducive environment for its people likewise the citizenry are not left out in exercising their civic roles to the
government.
He enjoined the Entrepreneurs to do the needful as expected in the area of payments of required Levies and assured them of government prompt response to their requests.
He further advised them to desist from paying Levies to unauthorized officers as the Local Government has put necessary measures in place for the collection of required levies as at when due.

(HLGA) Mrs Rachael Olabode appreciated the turnout of the entrepreneurs inspite of the short notice and promised the Local Government unalloyed supports in making their business boom as ever.
The Chairman of Eleyele Small Scale Industry, Alh Jimoh Akande commended the Executive Chairman for his maturity and solomonic wisdom in handling the affairs of the Local Government since assumption of office. He appreciated him for the impromptu visit to the Industrial site which had given him the insight on how urgent it is to respond to the people’s demands. Alh Akande assured the Executive Chairman and his working cabinet that his members are ready to do the needful to the government for the development of the local government and state in general. He said” it is our duty to pay tax and we will pay”
In their separate remarks, the representatives from different entrepreneurs like welding, plastic and Nylon recycling, palm kernel producers etc. thanked the Executive Chairman for given them a level playing field to discuss. They all ascertained that the meeting has fostered a rigid and positive relationship between the association and the government hence, the need for effective collaborations for the growth of the Local Government.
However, the entrepreneurs pleaded to the Executive Chairman to be more considerate in the allocation of Levies to each category of entrepreneur in the market considering the economic situations of the country.
Recently, the Executive Chairman and his working cabinet were at the Industrial site to see the state of things and interacted with the entrepreneurs where a meeting was fixed for further deliberations in the local government.
The meeting which was chaired by the Executive Chairman of the Council, Alh AbdulRahman Olanrewaju Adepoju had in attendance the Vice Chairman/ Political Head of Okebadan North LCDA, Alh Ganiy Abiodun Omotosho, leader of the House, Council PDP Chairman, Alh Lukman Adesina, Councillors and Chief of staff.
Others were the HLGA, Mrs Rachael Olabode, Director of Administration and General Services, Mrs Folashade Olanrewaju, Director of Finance and supplies,Alh Akeem Oladimeji, Internal Auditor, Estate officer, Rate officer among others.
