Yesterday, Honourable Iyanda Kabiru, Councillor representing Ward 09, Ibadan SouthWest Local Government put smiles on the faces of his constituents by distributing tokens of appreciation.
In his remarks, he acknowledged the current economic challenges, stating that “N200 can’t buy anything nowadays,” and therefore, decided to give N5,000 to some individuals, ensuring it reaches everyone.
True to his promise, some beneficiaries received N5,000 each, while the elderly received N10,000. Two disabled individuals were also among the beneficiaries.
This gesture has been hailed as unprecedented in the ward, with constituents expressing gratitude and praying for Councillor Kabiru’s continued success.
