A faith-based organisation is stepping into the national conversation around Nigeria’s migration crisis—popularly known as the JAPA syndrome.
The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Fountain of Life Sanctuary, will host a one-day summit themed “Exploring All Dimensions of the JAPA Syndrome in Nigeria.”
While speaking at a press conference at the church premises at Ikeja, Lagos, the convener, Pastor Noruwa Edokpolo said the conference, scheduled for May 31st in Ikeja, Lagos, will feature keynote speeches, expert panels, and faith reflections on the emotional and structural realities of migration.
The cleric says there is a lack of adequate information from prospective migrants hence the need to bring together experts from different field of human endeavours to enlighten the people on the pros and cons of travelling out of the country
Organisers say the event aims to spark honest dialogue and provide guidance on whether to stay, go, or return—purposefully.
Attendance is free, but registration is required online.
