The Chairman Olusegun Okanlawon Foundation, OOF, Engr. Dr. David Olusegun Okanlawon has extended his heartfelt wishes to the minister of interior of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo on the occasion of his birthday.
In a congratulations message through his media aide, Adedokun Sunday Harshasha, which was made available to reporters on Thursday, Engr. Dr. David Olusegun Okanlawon extolled the minister, saying that Nigeria needs more of his type in the corridors of power as that will hasten the rebirth of the country our past heroes had laboured for.
“I join Nigerians, the people of Akoko NW/NE Federal Constituency and the B.T.O family to celebrate the birthday of our illustrious son, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo (BTO), the most celebrated political icon in Ondo State.
“I wrote few years ago that my experience in his Akoko North-West/NorthEast Federal Constituency was one of a kind. From Ikare to Arigidi to Oyin and Oke-Agbe, I saw a blueprint of good leadership and quality representation written all over. Within that time and now, a lot had happened to show Honorable’s undisputed acceptability and his versatility in governance.
“Being a first-timer in the Federal House of Representatives, you proved beyond doubt that your leadership acumen is worth learning from. The people of your constituency also replicated your kind gestures by ensuring that you emerge unscathed in the 10th assembly with a first of it’s kind poll results winning all wards and units.
“We had thought the house of representatives was your best corridor to show your prowess until our visionary president hand picked you among other youths in governance to oversee a ministerial position, at that moment, we knew the sky is not your limit but the beginning.
“Barely one year as a minister, you upheld our belief and trust in your competence and you showed the world the exact reason the President and Nigerians believed so much in you.
“Your footprints in your ministry and her MDAs are evergreen. From the prompt issuance of travel passports, the restored decency into the parastatas and agencies under your watch from the fire service, immigration, the security of our borders and digititization of passports and other innumerable feats.
“Your example as a servant leader is worthy of emulation for anyone who intends to have significant impact in leadership and representation.
“Our beloved country needs more of your type in the corridors of power as this will hasten the rebirth of the country our past heroes had laboured for.
“I wish for you, today and always, grace, wisdom, discernment, long life, and trans-generational leadership impact. May your example become a good reference point for capacity building and national development.
