The Angel of Christ Gospel Church Inc. drew thousands of faithful to its annual Dasoromi Oluwa Convention 2025, a week-long spiritual gathering themed “The Chief Cornerstone,” inspired by Ephesians 2:20 — “Built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.”
The convention, held at the Dasoromi Oluwa Prayer City in Isale Oremeji, Agugu, Ibadan, began on Monday, June 23, and culminated in a vibrant Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, June 29. This year marks the 12th anniversary of the Dasoromi Oluwa Ministry, under the spiritual leadership of Prophet (Dr) Samuel Samiye Olabode, General Overseer of the Church.
In his sermon, Prophet Samiye passionately called on church leaders to remain unwavering in their faith and commitment to Christ.
“We, Pastors need to be steadfast in order to avoid our sheep from backsliding Christ,” he emphasized.
Reflecting on the ministry’s 12-year journey, he added:
“It has not been ‘Me Samiye’ since 12 years, but GOD. I urge us to keep trusting in God.”
The convention witnessed showers of blessings, intense praise and worship, and testimonies of transformation. Prophet Samiye took a moment to express heartfelt appreciation to the ministers and gospel artists who made the event spiritually impactful.
“He who betrayed Glory doesn’t last long. Always celebrate Glory whenever you see one,” he said, acknowledging the contributions of anointed ministers including Prophet Akinbiyi Mark, Dr. Lanre Teriba, and Apostle Elijah Akintunde (Olorun o sobe).
The prophet also appreciated all members home and abroad for their steadfastness and participation.
Several dignitaries were present, including the Chairman of PDP Chairmen in Oyo State, Ibadan NorthWest Supervisory Councillor for Works, and the Distinguished Special Assistant to the Local Government Chairman, among others.
The 2025 edition of Durosomi Convention left no doubt about its impact — a revival of faith, a celebration of grace, and a call for steadfastness in Christ as the true Cornerstone.
