In a show of gratitude and commitment to grassroots development, Hon. Olumuyiwa Olusegun Samson, the Distinguished Special Assistant to the Executive Chairman of Ibadan NorthWest Local Government and former Supervisory councilor for Youth and Sports marked his 150 days in office with a commemorative event held at the PDP Ward 7 Meeting Place, Salvation Army School.
The event, which brought together key political stakeholders, party faithful, and members of the community, was highlighted by the distribution of empowerment support to residents. Ten (10) individuals received direct cash assistance to support their livelihoods, while ten (10) youths were awarded free vocational training forms to enable them to learn trades of their choice and become self-reliant.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Olumuyiwa expressed deep appreciation to His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, Executive Governor of Oyo State; Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, the PDP State Secretary; Alhaji Rahman Adepoju, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan NorthWest Local Government; and all stakeholders who have continuously supported his efforts.
One of the beneficiary made a remark in the expression of gratitude for the opportunity.
“God will always remember you for many good things in your life,” he said emotionally in his remarks, adding in Yoruba, “Ni agbara Olorun, gbogbo ibi gigagiga ti okan re npongbe fun ni Olorun yio lana fun o lati debe ni oruko Jesu Kristi”, he said.
To the beneficiaries, Hon. Olumuyiwa offered a word of encouragement: “I urge you to make good and positive use of this opportunity. Let it be the beginning of something transformative in your life.”
Reaffirming his dedication to service, he assured the people that this intervention is only the beginning. “This is little of many, but much is coming by the grace of God,” he said.
He concluded with a message of humility and unity: “No one is perfect, but the Almighty shall continue to help us all. E seun pupo.”
