EID-AL-ADHA 2025: SURV. OLOYEDE YUSUFF KOLADE FELICITATES WITH MUSLIMS, PREACHES SACRIFICE, LOVE AND PEACE
As Muslims across the globe mark this year’s Eid al-Adha, also known as Eid Kabir, the young and visionary leader, Surv. Oloyede Yusuff Kolade, extends his warmest felicitations to all Muslim brothers and sisters, both at home and in the diaspora.
In his Eid message, Surv. Oloyede Yusuff, an emerging beacon of youth leadership in Oyo State and beyond, emphasized the importance of the celebration, describing it as a season that reminds the faithful of the values of sacrifice, faith in Allah, compassion for others, and total obedience to divine instructions.
“Eid al-Adha is more than just a festive celebration; it is a powerful symbol of what it means to live a life of submission, sacrifice, and sincere devotion to the Almighty. The story of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) teaches us that every trial has a purpose, and every sacrifice made in the path of righteousness is never in vain,” Hon. Kolade noted.
He urged the Muslim Ummah to use the occasion to reflect on the teachings of unity, generosity, and peaceful coexistence that the holy festival represents. In a time where the world faces economic, political, and social challenges, he called for a renewed sense of brotherhood and collective responsibility among Nigerians, regardless of religion or ethnicity.
Surv. Oloyede Yusuff further charged leaders at all levels, especially the youth, to emulate the spirit of sacrifice and accountability, stressing that genuine leadership is about fear of God, service to humanity, love for the people, and dedication to values that uplift society.
As a progressive mind and passionate advocate of inclusive development, he reaffirmed his commitment to supporting policies and initiatives that will advance peace, equity, and youth empowerment in Oyo State and across the nation.
He concluded his message with heartfelt prayers:
“While I am physically far from home, performing the sacred duty of Hajj, my heart remains connected to my people. I carry you all in my thoughts and prayers as I fulfill this pillar of Islam. May Allah (SWT) accept the Hajj of all pilgrims, and may the blessings of this sacred season reach every home, every heart, and every soul in our beloved land.”
“To the good people of Iseyin and Itesiwaju, I say: let us continue to embrace peace, uphold unity, and remain steadfast in values that promote progress and harmony in our communities. Let this season renew our faith, inspire acts of kindness, and deepen our love for one another.”
As we celebrate with joy and gratitude, he offered a special prayer for the Governor of Oyo State: “His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde, the Executive Governor of Oyo State. May Almighty Allah continue to grant him wisdom, strength, and divine guidance as he leads our dear state. May his administration be blessed with peace, stability, and lasting development, and may Oyo State continue to rise under his leadership.”
To our elders, may you continue to enjoy good health and honour. To our youths, never lose hope your time is coming, and your strength is needed. To the children, may your future be bright and filled with endless opportunities.
Lastly, as we observe the sacrifice of this Eid, let us also strive to sacrifice envy for empathy, greed for generosity, and division for unity. May our actions reflect the values we celebrate humility, compassion, and the pursuit of justice.
