Hon. Taofeek Aderogba has officially declared his intention to contest in the forthcoming bye-election for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency, under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The election became necessary following the demise of Hon. Akinremi Jagaban, the former representative of the constituency.
Speaking during a media parley organized by Dr. Opeyemi Ayanrinde, Oyo State Governor of the ANBROAD group, Hon. Aderogba passionately expressed his readiness to serve. He outlined his vision for a progressive and people-oriented representation, pledging to focus on empowerment, poverty alleviation, sustainable development, and inclusive governance.

While paying tribute to the late Hon. Jagaban, Aderogba described him as “a man of the people” who made tremendous impact through various development initiatives. He vowed to build on Jagaban’s legacy and even surpass his achievements in office.
Aderogba emphasized his long-standing commitment to the APC, noting that he has been a loyal party man for over two decades. “Hon. Taofeek is a household name in the Ibadan Federal Constituency and is ready for the challenges ahead,” he declared.
Though he previously ran for the Oyo State House of Assembly under the Accord Party, Hon. Aderogba has remained an active figure in community development through his foundation, which has implemented several empowerment programs across the constituency.
On the issue of political godfatherism, the aspirant stated that he belongs to no single faction, maintaining cordial relationships with all leaders within the APC. “I belong to everyone,” he said.
A seasoned supply chain expert, union leader, and comrade, Hon. Taofeek Aderogba has served in various capacities within the Nigerian Labour Congress, bringing grassroots understanding and advocacy experience to his political aspirations.
As the APC prepares for the bye-election, all eyes are now on Hon. Aderogba as a prominent contender seeking to carry the mantle forward for Ibadan North.
