A prominent socio-political support group in Nigeria, Seyi Makinde Disciples, has joined millions of faithful across the globe to felicitate with Muslims on the celebration of Eid-el-Mawlud, marking the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
In a congratulatory message released on Sunday and signed by the group’s Convener, Laja Adeoye, and its Spokesman, Olusegun C.A. Taiwo (OCAT), the group extended warm greetings to the Muslim Ummah while emphasizing the need for unity, peace, and love in society.
The statement noted that the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) remains a reminder of his exemplary life of humility, patience, and compassion, values that should guide Nigerians, especially in these trying times.
“As we celebrate Eid-el-Mawlud, we call on Muslims and all Nigerians to emulate the noble virtues of the Holy Prophet (SAW). His life teaches us love for humanity, tolerance, and the importance of building a peaceful and just society,” the group said.
The Seyi Makinde Disciples also used the opportunity to commend Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State for his exemplary leadership style, which they described as people-oriented and reflective of the values of fairness and inclusiveness.
They further urged citizens to continue praying for the peace, progress, and stability of Oyo State and Nigeria at large, stressing that collective responsibility and genuine patriotism remain the bedrock of national growth.
The group concluded by wishing all Muslim faithful a joyous and spiritually fulfilling Eid-el-Mawlud celebration.
