
Chief Akindipe Hammed Abiodun Akinsunbo, popularly known as Igba-Otun, has joined well-wishers in celebrating Chief (Dr.) Akintomide Stephen Fagbemi, the Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Hospital Management Board, on his birthday.
Chief Akinsunbo, the Supervisory Councillor for Works in Ibadan NorthWest Local Government and the Mayegun of Eleyele/Arometa, described Dr. Fagbemi as a reliable leader who has consistently demonstrated commitment to the progress and well-being of Oyo State.
In a heartfelt message, Chief Akinsunbo extolled Dr. Fagbemi’s leadership qualities and his unwavering dedication to public service. “Dr. Fagbemi is a dependable and visionary leader who has significantly contributed to the development of Oyo State. His track record of excellence and integrity is an inspiration to many,” he stated.
Dr. Fagbemi, a prominent figure in Ibadanland, serves as the Mogaji (head) of the Akinleyinju Compound. He is also the Director-General for the Ibadan NorthWest/SouthWest Federal Constituency in the 2024 local government election campaign and has previously held key roles in governance. These include his tenure as the Chairman of the Oyo State Road Traffic Management Authority (OYRTMA), where he introduced innovative strategies to enhance road safety and traffic management.
As a staunch supporter of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration, Dr. Fagbemi played a pivotal role as the Director-General of the governor’s 2019 election campaign for Oyo South Senatorial District. His contributions to the political and infrastructural development of the state have earned him widespread recognition.
Chief Akinsunbo also highlighted Dr. Fagbemi’s deep-rooted commitment to his community and philanthropy. “Beyond politics, Dr. Fagbemi is a man of the people—compassionate, resourceful, and dedicated to improving the lives of those around him,” he added.
