Coronation activities are in three (3) phases: Pre-Coronation Events, Coronation event and Post-Coronation events. These events will run from Monday 31st March 2025 to Saturday 12th April 2025

MONDAY 31st MARCH
Cultural carnival Parade 7:30am to 10am
Opening Ceremony by the Hon commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dr Wasiu Olatubosun and the Coronation Loc chairman Dr. Kunle Ogunmola by 10am at Oba Adeyemi Mini Stadium Ode Aremo. Exhibitions follow each day from Monday 31st till Friday 4th April.

TUESDAY 1st APRIL 2025
8am – 11am – Historic tree planting phase 1

4pm-6:30pm – public Lecture/ colloquium at Atiba University Campus, Gedu Oyo (Prof Anthony Asiwaju, Prof Akin Alao, & Prof Siyan Oyeweso)

WEDNESDAY 2nd April 2025
8am-11am – Historic trees planting phase 2
1pm-3:30pm – Coronation Quiz Competition @ Federal School of Surveying
5-6pm – Commissioning of Hon Prince Akeem’s projects in Alaafin Akeem Abimbola Owoade’s name

THURSDAY 3RD APRIL 2025
8am-11am – Historic Tree planting phase 3
Coronation football competition (Final)

FRIDAY 4TH APRIL 2025

Oyo Cultural Heritage Day @ Oba Adeyemi Mini Stadium Ode Aremo. Time: 10am – 3pm

Command Performance of Aremo Aderonmu (A stage play written by Gbemi Faleti) at Ajayi Crowther University
Time 5pm

SATURDAY 5TH APRIL 2025
Main coronation Events @ Olivet Baptist Height and entertainment @ various locations in Oyo
