The impact of this initiative has been overwhelming as well over 50 beneficiaries across Oyo State have testified to how the programme has equipped them with valuable digital skills, making them competitive in today’s job market. Some have already secured online jobs, while others have launched their own tech-based businesses. This is a significant step towards reducing dependency on government jobs and creating a self-sufficient generation.
It is an obvious fact that, for many years, one of the major challenges facing Nigerian youth has been the lack of access to digital skills training. While formal education provides theoretical knowledge, it often falls short in practical, market-driven skills. The Human Capital Development and Strategic Empowerment for Youths in ICT programme has bridged this gap, ensuring that young people in Oyo State are not left behind in the global digital revolution.
