In a remarkable display of commitment to the development and cultural preservation of Ibadanland, the chairman of Solutions 93.9 FM, Oloye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke, FCA, who is also the Aare Egbe Omo Balogun of Ibadanland and Mogaji of Abosé Compound, has donated N10 million toward the construction of Ile Eke, a state-of-the-art hall and office complex for the Association of Mogajis.
The Ile Eke project, envisioned as a world-class facility, will serve as a central hub for Ibadan indigenes both locally and in the diaspora. Beyond its functional purpose, the complex is designed to uphold and celebrate Ibadan’s rich cultural heritage. The name “Eke” signifies unity and leadership among the Mogajis, further underscoring the project’s cultural significance.
Oloye Adegoke made the generous contribution during a visit to the Oke Aremo Palace of the Olubadan of Ibadanland. The event was attended by key figures, including the President of the Mogajis, Mogaji Asimiyu Ariori; the Secretary, Mogaji Odugade; and other notable Mogajis such as Mogaji Koso, Mogaji Agbo Bere, Mogaji Sangodoyin, Mogaji Alago, and Mogaji Moganna.
Speaking on behalf of the Mogajis, Mogaji Asimiyu Ariori expressed profound gratitude for Oloye Adegoke’s support, describing him as a pillar of progress in Ibadanland. “This is not the first time Oloye Adegoke has shown his love for Ibadanland,” he said. “His unwavering dedication and generosity are helping to shape a brighter future for our great city.”
