Yesterday marked a remarkable milestone in the history of Ona Ara Local Government as we had the honor of hosting the Oyo State Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Iyabo Yerima, and the Oyo State Commissioner for Education, Prof Saliu Adelabu ably represented by the Permanent Secretary of Education, for the official commissioning of the newly reconstructed Chief Magistrate Court, Jegede, and the Ona Ara Local Education Office rebuild.
These vital projects, brought to life through the collaborative efforts of the Ona Ara Local Government, the Judiciary, and the Corporate Social Responsibility initiative of the Chairman of Ilaji Resort, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, stand as a testament to the great strides we are making towards sustainable development in our community. The reconstruction of these facilities is set to enhance access to justice and education, core pillars of progress in Ona Ara.
In his remarks during the event, the Executive Chairman of Ona Ara Local Government, Dr. Kolapo Temitope GLORIOUS, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to the Omituntun 2.0 developmental agenda. He further noted that the Governor’s visionary guidance has been instrumental in driving progress and creating lasting impact across the local government.
“Together with the state administration, we are fostering real progress for the people of Ona Ara, we will continue to pursue meaningful projects that will make lives bearable, we will continue to have you as first priority in all our endeavours” Dr. GLORIOUS affirmed.
Dignitaries at the event are: Oyo Deputy Speaker, Rt Hon. Muhammad Abiodun Fadeyi, Senior Special Assistant to Governor on SDG, Hon Mufutau Ogunremi among others.
Also, the Permanent Secretary, Local Government Service Commission, Mr Taiwo Adewale and many judges from the state High Court.
The event was a demonstration of Ona-Ara’s continued dedication to community empowerment and sustainable development, aligning with the state’s broader vision of inclusive growth.
