The Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Oyo State Chapter, Amb. Com. Abdulsalam Abdulquadri Olusegun FEIP, has hailed the youth as the driving force of Nigeria’s progress.
In a statement to mark International Youth Day, Amb. Olusegun celebrated the power, potential, and passion of young people, saying they are not just future leaders but leaders today, ready to shape a brighter future.
He praised the resilience, creativity, and determination of young people, saying they rise with unwavering strength and hope in the face of challenges.
Amb. Olusegun called for empowerment, opportunities for growth, education, and entrepreneurship, and a commitment to creating a society where every young person can thrive and contribute meaningfully.
He pledged to invest in youth, listen to their voices, and support their dreams, urging young people to believe in themselves, embrace their potential, and strive for excellence.
The NYCN Oyo Chairman concluded by calling for unity, diversity celebration, and championing of youth rights, saying together, we can build a future where every youth is empowered, every voice is heard, and every dream is within reach.

In conclusion, the chairman appreciates the government of Oyo State ably led by His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde for being a youth inclusive governor as we have Hon Wasilat Adegoke and Prince Adebowale Falana as Youth Commissioner and Chairman, Agency for Youth Development respectively.
