THE People of Fiditi beamed with joy and excitement as the newly built toilet facilities and motorized boreholes facilitated by a prominent descendant of the town and ace broadcaster, Emperor Imoyosola Adetoro were commissioned on Sunday 4th of August 2024.
The projects which were funded by the water coin community and Basedbrett were put in strategic areas to serve not just a community but also the adjoining areas in the town.
The facilitator of the infrastructures, Emperor Imoyosola Adetoro appeared the people of Fiditi for giving spaces to projects that’ll bring development to the town while promising to do more for the town to enhance the living conditions of the people.
The Onifiditi of Fiditi Oba Sakiru Oyewole Oyelere who was represented by the Otun of Fiditi, Oloye Peter Ayansola Oyelami appreciated the gesture as he urged the beneficiaries of projects to make the best use of them.
The chairman at the commissioning event, Elder Niyi Odewole lauded the effort of the facilitator urging other Fiditi descendants to imbibe in the habit of coming home regularly and giving back to their society.
The Iyalode of Fiditi who is also a resident of one of the areas that benefitted the toilet and motorized borehole, Mrs Olufunmike Ogunlola couldn’t hide her joy as she applauded the facilitator and also appealed to community leaders to monitor the usages of the infrastructures.
Sanitarian Sheriff Olayiwola, the deputy director of sanitation at Afijio local government area admonished the people on the best use of the toilet facilities.
Other dignitaries at commissioning include high chiefs, community leaders and eminent personalities.
