A Non-Governmental Organisation, Community Life Innovation and Connect Initiative (CLIC Initiative) International has concluded a 2-weeks skill acquisition exercise tagged STREET2SKILZ at Apete Community.
The community based NGO who aimed at changing lives and impacting communities organised the exercise in conjunction with Methodist Church Nigeria, Apete, Ibadan between June 3rd- June 14th, 2024.
In her remarks on behalf of the organisation, Mrs Akinbomi Temitope, the project coordinator said
“The skills offered free to interested beneficiaries were Adire Making, Fashion Designing and Photography because skills are lucrative skills with much profits and impacts to individuals and the society at large.
She also appreciated the facilitators who volunteered to impact lives of younger generations.
Mrs Akinbomi therefore encouraged the beneficiaries to further invest efforts in their chosen skills to be fully successful and also impact other lives as well.
The Facilitators were Abisola Nureni CEO of “Pixie Alaso” Fabrics and Designs, Olusegun C. A. Taiwo Director of “OCATTECH and Ajibola Nureni CEO of “URBAN JAY” Adire Clothes line.
The beneficiaries expressing their appreciation, show projects done as signs of successful training and appreciate CLIC Initiative for bringing the exercise to the community at a time when young adults are getting confused due to the unstable economy situation of the community.
Rev’d O. I Komolafe of Methodist Church Nigeria Apete Ibadan appreciates ‘CLIC’ Initiative for the idea and innovation brought to the door step of members of the church and the community. He prayed that the organisation continues to remain relevant and successful”.
Also he appreciated the acceptance of the community.
In conclusion, the Ibadan Representative of CLIC Initiative, Mr Juwon Fowora appreciated Methodist Church Nigeria Apete Ibadan and the community for their collaborative efforts and support throughout the period of the training.
Presentations of Certificate were also carried out for the over 30 beneficiaries in the presence of CLIC Initiative teams; Brown Mojisola Feyisayo and Japhet Anthony.
