

The Executive Chairman of Ibadan NorthWest Local Government, Hon. Rahman Adepoju, has inaugurated the elected councillors from Ward 1 to 11 of Ibadan North Local Government, emphasizing the need for quality legislation among the councillors.
During the swearing-in ceremony, Hon. Adepoju stated his administration’s commitment to working collaboratively with the councillors to ensure the realization of vision for prosperous Ibadan NorthWest Local Government.
“I am happy to swear in the councillors today.
“I urge you to work collaboratively to elevate Ibadan NorthWest Local Government to greater heights.
“Let there be unity, love, and harmony among you to propel the local government forward. I wish you all a successful tenure,” said Adepoju.
The 11 councillors inaugurated are:
Ward 1: Folashade Oduola
Ward 2: Popoola Olawale James
Ward 3: Ayinde Ojo Olamideji
Ward 4: Abideen Owolabi
Ward 5: Mudasiru Wasiu Alabi
Ward 6: Muideen Adesina
Ward 7: Rilwan Ogun
Ward 8: Ayuba Saheed
Ward 9: Gbadamosi Oluwagbemileke Nelson
Ward 10: Esho Taiwo
Ward 11: Olufunke Odusanya
Following the inauguration, the councillors held their first plenary session, where Oluwagbemileke Gbadamosi Nelson from Ward 9 emerged as the leader of the house.
Hon Abideen Owolabi from ward 4 was elected as the deputy leader, Hon Folashade Oduola from Ward 1 as the majority leader, and Esho Taiwo from Ward 10 as the chief whip.
The ceremony was graced by several dignitaries, including the Vice Chairman; Hon Ganiy Omotosho, Special Assistant to the Governor on Federal Constituency; Hon Soliu Labule Ishola, House of Assembly Member, Hon Dawood Olalere, Former Assembly Member; Hon Akeem Obadara, Oyo State PDP Secretary; Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, Chief of Staff,; Hon Kazeem Fantola, the First lady of the local government; Alhaja Folashade Adepoju, PDP leaders from Ward 1 to 11; all executive officers from Ward 1 to 11; members of PDP, family and friends.
