The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP chairmanship candidate in Oluyole Local Government ahead of the next year’s council poll, Akeem Olatunji has charged newly appointed aides of Governor Seyi Makinde to see their appointments as a call to service.

Olatunji gave the charge in a congratulatory message to the new appointees on Friday morning, while expressing confidence in their abilities and capabilities having distinguished themselves as successful individuals in their various private endeavors.

Recall that Governor Seyi Makinde in a letter signed by his Chief of Staff, Honourable Segun Ogunwuyi, had on Wednesday announced fresh appointment into the government of Oyo state.

Olatunji said, Governor Makinde, who has a special skill in outsourcing talents has again demonstrated his fatherly responsibility to his family by giving the new appointees a platform that engenders real learning and growth.

While noting that some of the appointees who served in government under Omititun 1.0 have clearly proved themselves worthy of the governor’s reappointment under the present dispensation, Olatunji urged others newly coming on board to network and explore opportunities that would improve their work and delivery.

While reaffirming his absolute commitment to Keying into Makinde’s Sustainable Development Agenda under Omititun 2.0, the former Publicity Secretary of PDP in Oyo state said Makinde’s political disciples must be seen dutifully protecting the legacies being laid down by the governor.

“I want to sincerely congratulate all newly appointed persons by His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde into the present government, on their well deserved appointments.

“There’s no gainsaying that our overall leader and father, the governor has played his part as the head of the house, the rest is up to those given the opportunity to join in the building process.

“It is expected that they will justify the high confidence reposed in them by Governor Makinde and use their offices to further better the lot of the people of Oyo state.

“It is profound to note that the governor has graciously elevated many to higher portfolios while others were either returned to their previous designations or redeployed to other offices where their wealth of experiences are expected to be brought to bear on good governance.

“I have no atom of doubt that these appointments are clear indication of putting round pegs in round holes. I can only wish all new appointees a successful time in office.
