Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ibarapa East Local Government have offered their blessings to the party’s House of Assembly candidate, Hon. Babatunde Sunday Ogunlade, after he presented his Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination form to the party’s apex leadership.
The presentation took place during a consultative visit to two of the party’s senior leaders in the constituency, Pa Timothy Alarape Jolaoso and Pa Dayo Adeola, as part of preparations for the 2027 Oyo State House of Assembly election.
During the meeting, Ogunlade formally presented his INEC nomination form to the leaders and sought their prayers, guidance and support for his candidacy. The APC elders responded with prayers and words of encouragement, urging him to remain committed to the party’s ideals and to pursue an inclusive campaign.
Speaking after the meeting, Ogunlade said presenting his nomination form to the party’s apex leaders was a mark of respect for the leadership of the APC in Ibarapa East and an opportunity to seek their counsel as he begins the next phase of his campaign.
“I consider it important to carry our leaders along and seek their blessings as we prepare for the task ahead,” he said.
The meeting was attended by the APC Chairman in Ibarapa East Local Government, Comrade Dele Belolari, the APC Ward 2 Chairman, Mr. Peter Aderoju, and other party executives and stakeholders.
The party leaders encouraged members to remain united and focused as political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections. They also urged party faithful to continue working together to strengthen the APC across Ibarapa East Constituency.
The visit forms part of Ogunlade’s consultations with party stakeholders following his emergence as the APC candidate for the Oyo State House of Assembly seat representing Ibarapa East Constituency.
