The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. (Mrs.) Ramata Agberemi Dabo (popularly known as RAD), has congratulated renowned broadcaster, Mayor Isaac Brown, on his emergence as a recipient of the 2026 City People Awards for Excellence Special Recognition Award.
Hon. Dabo described the honour bestowed on the veteran broadcaster by City People Magazine as a well-deserved recognition of years of excellence, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to impactful broadcasting and community development. According to her, Mayor Isaac Brown has consistently distinguished himself as one of Nigeria’s finest media personalities, using the microphone not only to inform and educate but also to advocate for justice, equity, good governance, and the promotion of voices that deserve to be heard. “Mayor Isaac Brown is an icon whose contributions to the media industry and society have earned him the respect and admiration of many. His recognition by City People Magazine is a celebration of a remarkable legacy built on integrity, excellence, and service to humanity,” she said.
Hon. Dabo further applauded Mr Brown for being a strong advocate of HeForShe , noting that his consistent support for women empowerment and gender inclusion has inspired many across Oyo State and beyond. She also appreciated the award recipient for his continuous support for the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde and his commitment to projecting the positive stories, achievements, and development efforts taking place across Oyo State. “Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mayor Isaac Brown has remained supportive of initiatives that promote the growth and development of Oyo State.
His belief in the potential of our dear state and his encouragement of women in leadership deserve commendation,” she added. Hon. Dabo prayed that the recognition would serve as motivation for the veteran broadcaster to continue his outstanding contributions to journalism, public discourse, and national development.
She wished Mayor Isaac Brown many more years of good health, greater accomplishments, and continued success in his service to humanity and the media profession.
