As part of activities marking this year’s Mother’s Day celebration, Oluwatobi John Ogunbayo, a political figure aspiring to represent Ibadan North West/Ibadan South West Federal Constituency, has paid glowing tribute to mothers for their invaluable roles in nation-building and societal development.

In a statement released on Sunday, Ogunbayo described mothers as the backbone of every home and the foundation upon which peaceful communities and a prosperous society are built.

According to him, mothers continue to demonstrate strength, resilience, sacrifice, and unconditional love in raising responsible children and sustaining family values despite prevailing economic and social challenges.

“Today, we celebrate the strength, resilience, sacrifices, and unconditional love that mothers continue to show in building strong families, peaceful communities, and a better nation. Mothers remain the backbone of our homes, the first teachers of our children, and the guiding light of every thriving society,” he stated.

The Ibadan federal constituency hopeful acknowledged the enormous sacrifices being made daily by mothers across Oyo State and the country at large, noting that their courage, prayers, wisdom, and hard work deserve continuous recognition, support, and respect.

He further stressed the need for government and society to promote policies and opportunities that empower women and protect the wellbeing of mothers, adding that the progress of any nation is closely tied to the welfare of its womenfolk.

Ogunbayo also specially celebrated widows, single mothers, caregivers, market women, teachers, civil servants, entrepreneurs, and all women contributing tirelessly to the growth of their families and communities.

He prayed for good health, peace, happiness, protection, and fulfillment for mothers across the country as they mark the special occasion.

“Happy Mother’s Day to all our beloved mothers,” the statement concluded.
