A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ambassador Onaolapo Ademola Omiyale, has taken a major step in his political ambition by obtaining his Expression of Interest and Nomination forms ahead of the 2027 Oyo State House of Assembly election.
Omiyale, who is aspiring to represent Ido State Constituency, made this known in a statement, expressing gratitude to God for the milestone and reaffirming his commitment to public service.
“To the glory of God, I picked my Expression of Interest Form and Nomination Form at the APC Party Secretariat yesterday. I am ready to serve the good people of Ido State Constituency in 2027,” he declared.
The development follows his earlier declaration of intent to contest the seat, a decision he said was driven by concerns over what he described as poor and ineffective representation of the constituency.
According to the aspirant, his ambition is rooted in the desire to provide purposeful leadership, ensure accountability, and bridge the gap between the people and governance.
Omiyale had previously emphasized the need for inclusive and people-oriented representation, noting that many constituents feel disconnected from the current political structure.
He assured residents of Ido Constituency that, if elected, he would prioritise development initiatives that directly impact their welfare and improve grassroots participation in governance.
Beyond his political aspiration, Omiyale also serves as the coordinator of the “Return of Penkelemi 2027” movement, a platform believed to be mobilising support and strengthening grassroots engagement ahead of the next general elections.
