A popular political chieftain, Hon. Bankole Fasuyi, popularly known as Hon. Banky, has officially declared his intention to contest for the position of Member, Federal House of Representatives representing Ibadan NorthWest/SouthWest Federal Constituency under the platform of Accord Party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The declaration was made on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, during a local government meeting of the party held at Ebenezer School, Ibadan, in the presence of party leaders, stakeholders, and members.

In his address, Hon. Fasuyi outlined his vision for the constituency, emphasizing key pillars such as education, empowerment, social welfare, and inclusiveness. He noted that his aspiration is driven by a commitment to deliver impactful representation and improve the quality of life for constituents.

The aspirant, who is widely recognized for his contributions to educational development, highlighted his track record of supporting schools and students across the constituency. He assured party members and residents that he would sustain and expand these initiatives if elected into office.

“I have always believed that education is the foundation of any meaningful development. My commitment to supporting our schools and empowering our youths will not only continue but grow stronger when given the opportunity to serve at the federal level,” he said.

Hon. Fasuyi also called on members of the Accord Party to remain united and focused as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum. He stressed the importance of collective effort and party cohesion in achieving electoral success.

He expressed optimism about the party’s chances, urging stakeholders to work together to strengthen the party’s structure and mobilize support across the constituency.

The event was attended by prominent party figures, local government executives, and grassroots mobilizers, who pledged their support and reaffirmed their commitment to the party’s growth in Oyo State.
