Hon Innocent Tallest, SSA Community Relations (Igbo Community) has congratulated Hon. Shina Peller and other candidates who emerged through the party’s consensus arrangement in Oyo North ahead of the 2027 general elections, describing the outcome as a calculated step toward strengthening unity and ensuring electoral victory.
The commendation follows a high-level stakeholders’ meeting convened by Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, where consensus candidates were adopted in line with earlier directives aimed at concluding internal consultations within the party.
Hon. Tallest praised the leadership of the party for embracing dialogue and cohesion rather than division, noting that the consensus approach reflects political maturity and strategic coordination among key stakeholders.
He specifically highlighted the emergence of candidates such as Hon. Shina Oyedeji O’Shine, Hon. Biodun Oni, and Hon. Adeniyi Adebisi as evidence of the PDP’s readiness to present a united front in the forthcoming elections.
According to him, the development positions the party strongly for success at the polls, while also reinforcing internal stability across the Oyo North axis.
Hon. Tallest further charged all selected candidates, including those vying for seats in the State House of Assembly, to justify the confidence reposed in them by demonstrating commitment to service, fostering unity, and driving grassroots development.
He also called on party members and supporters to close ranks and rally behind the consensus candidates, emphasizing that collective support remains critical to the PDP’s electoral prospects in 2027.
